Samantha Boulton

Samantha Boulton is a writer you’ve never heard of from a town that you’ve never been to. For years, she had been plagued with vivid dreams and nightmares and writing rapidly became the easiest way to cope with them. Usually, as soon as she wrote about the dreams she was having, that particular dream would cease. However, there was one dream that kept recurring, no matter how much she penned it. She began writing “The Isthmus Company” while sitting in a math class her senior year of high school. Since then, she’s been jotting down scraps of the story on anything that she can find, whether it be an old receipt or a napkin.

“From what I gather he doesn’t even lock the doors half the time. He owns nothing overly expensive and there’s nothing that he really cares about.”

“The guy’s got nothing?” Juniper asked incredulously. After all the people he had met during his time with the company, he found it hard to believe that there was someone who didn’t obsess about at least one thing. He’d even noticed that most of his colleagues were obvious about what they held as their prized possessions.”

“There’s always something,” Tag corrected him. One of the things that had been ingrained in his mind during his fourteen years with the company was that there was always something; no matter who the person, no matter what the situation.”

The Isthmus Company can, at best, be described as an unscrupulous loan agency. At worst, it’s described as a front for organized crime. When a debt to the Isthmus Company goes unpaid, Tag Jones and Tryp Marxon are sent to collect collateral–a possession that a person values so much that its disappearance might instill the motivation to pay back their debt. But what happens when they encounter a man whose only valuable possession is his daughter?

The Isthmus Company: Part II (Action/Adventure, Crime Thrillers, Organized Crime)

For years, he had been employed as a puppet of Isthmus. Why this girl should think differently of him was simply baffling. She had seen everything that he had done in the past few months. True, he was here of his own accord, not Isthmus’s, but she could not possibly know that. Pondering the thought, he nearly tripped over another crack in the sidewalk. If Isthmus knew exactly what he was doing right now… he did not want to finish the thought.

“That and my dad still owes Isthmus a few million dollars. It’s not like he’s going to forget that debt. Not to mention, he wouldn’t send just you to recollect the Collateral,” she said darkly. As much as she hated it, she knew it was never going to end until her father could pay. As far as she knew, that was not going to be any time soon.

The second installment in The Isthmus Company series picks up the action right where the first one left off.
