Malini Chaudhri Interview
Self-Publisher’s Showcase: Today we are joined by Malini Chaudhri, author of Low Level Laser Therapy For Physical Therapists. Welcome to the Showcase Lounge, Malini.
MC: Thank you for this incredible author’s platform and showcase
SPS: For any of our readers that haven’t come across your work previously, can you take a moment to tell us all a little about yourself and your work?
MC: I am a hybrid breed, but located in alternative medicine mostly from a developing nations standpoint. I develop simplified, structured technical manuals and study aids, based on advanced scientific work. I am supported and authorized to develop skills for career opportunities.
SPS: What are your perfect writing conditions, and how often do you write?
MC: I have taken to writing seriously, only after separating from my business projects as Spa Director and Academy Director. At work, I was exposed to a marked shortage of standardized texts or quality content for learners. I noticed Influencers demanding free data support as they had investments in, but no knowledge bank. The level of competency was low.
SPS: Can you put your finger on the moment where you decided that you wanted to publish your work?
MC: I was very pleased to contact self-publishing which came in just as I fumbled for a publisher. Indian publishers seemed risky, and there were attempts to hijack my data. My first publisher connected me to Createspace with the Laser title.
SPS: Why do you think it is that you have found yourself writing in the style that you do?
MC: I am authorized to manage the Occupational Standard competencies by ISTE(a premier technical board). It belongs to UK, and I am familiar with this broad qualification structure. I offer illustrations and SOAP. As far as the Laser book is concerned, I have managed a technical skills development framework. It supports self-help and study aids. Hospitals, customers and colleagues find this framework manageable. It also supports foreign language readers.
SPS: What would you say, if anything, best differentiates you from other authors?
MC: I am spiritual. The inspiration, positive karma, and progress comes from a grace located in meditation and good practise and guru. I am disciplined at a very formal level belonging to saintly wisdom.
SPS: Where does the inspiration for your work come from?
MC: The inspiration for the laser book came from knowing the laser science community worldwide, and from the astonishing results of the treatments.
SPS: Have you received a favourite review of your work?
MC: Many have reviewed my therapy. Some reviews of the book have been very kind. It is difficult for anyone to review alternative science
SPS: What’s next on the self-publishing horizon for yourself?
MC: I have self-funded five books against great odds. My next book may belong to a Non-fiction grant. It is partially written and submitted. It belongs to the Origin of energy in spa therapies.
SPS: Was the Self-/Indie-Published route always your preferred route for your work?
MC: I am only a year and a half old as an international author. I have redone all my books after publishing and have followed the systems. I feel the exposure and outreach is best with Self-publishing. I hope to be supported by grants in the future.
SPS: Has the experience so far been all that you thought it would be?
MC: I never knew what to expect. My texts were written simultaneously. The internet issues, changes and hacks were very upsetting. I did not know enough about moving books on the internet. I am comfortable of late, but it seems that books may go away in favour of machine learning.
SPS: If you could give one piece of advice for someone looking to get into writing, what would it be?
MC: To read my book Authors Digital Enterprise. It shows the real work that authors must engage in for any luck.
SPS: Before we bring this interview to a close, it’s your chance to name-drop. Anyone who you feel is deserving of more recognition at present or someone whose writing you have recently enjoyed? Now is your chance to spread the word…
MC: I have only recently begun reading again. I mainly read award winners and top writers. None of them are lacking in fame or support.
SPS: Thank you for joining us today, Malini, and all the best for the future.
MC: Thank you Self Publishers Showcase. It has been a pleasure. My future is with you as I will be contributing to your blog.
